“WIR/NOI” is a poem by Romanian author Monica Stoica, composed of short, powerful sentences that give space to apocalyptic thoughts and images.
The direction, music and video elements were conceived by avant-garde artist Vlaicu Golcea, one of Romania’s renowned performance artists.
I performed the poem in German, deliberately emphasizing the “R” sound. This creates a distinct vocal quality while exploring the precision and musicality of German stage language.The piece was recorded on an iPhone 17 Plus inside an abandoned amphitheatre in Bucharest. The raw, atmospheric location became an essential part of the visual language, reinforcing the poem’s sense of isolation and impending collapse.
WIR combines acting, voice, performance, music and visual storytelling into an intimate, experimental piece.
